David Rankin discussing the 80's ahead of his Single-Artist Auction Retrospective on November 29th at 5:00pm AEST
by Lee Steer, Nov 09, 2020
If you have missed David discussing the 1960's and the 1970's don't worry, all of the videos are available to watch on www.artmarketspace.com/news. David will be discussing the 1990's next week!
This curated auction comprises 11 fine works that span each decade of the artist’s career starting in the 1960’s in Australia and ending up to the early 2000’s in New York, where David Rankin now lives with his wife, the celebrated author Lily Brett.
Each painting carries a sensible and conservative estimate, which will offer good buying opportunities. The auction includes rarely seen early and mid-career works that come direct from the artist’s own studio in New York. Each painting has been carefully selected from the artist’s studio, as not only an excellent example of the artist’s work, but also as representative of David Rankin’s thoughts, developments, growth and understanding, which are reflected in the paintings of each era.
The works are available to view now at www.artmarketspace.com/auctions
David Rankin will himself participate in a live video link event with Artmarketspace CEO Lee Steer on Wednesday 25 November at 11am AEST, where the artist will interact with art-collectors in Australia from his Shelter- Island studio in NYC.
